Kum & Go Adds Petroleum Power, Plus

Appoints execs to oversee fuels, procurement, sustainability

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Jim Pirolli recently has joined Kum & Go LC as vice president of fuels, and Randy Meyer will be launching and leading a new procurement function at the West Des Moines, Iowa-based convenience-store chain.

Prior to Kum & Go, Pirolli held a variety of trading and management roles at Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) over the last 13 years, working most recently as a regional commercial manager.

Meyer has been with Kum & Go for more than 37 years.

He is responsible for all facets of petroleum division including products and bio fuels strategy, procurement, petroleum pipeline shipping, hedging, inventory management, supply sourcing at more than 60 terminals, common carrier distribution to more than 400 retail stores in 11 states, retail product pricing and industry participation in fuels regulatory and legislative initiatives.

Also, Sara Kurovski was recently hired as manager of sustainability at Kum & Go. She also serves as Mayor of Pleasant Hill, Iowa. In her new role, Kurovski will continue serving on the Polk County Conservation Board, the Convention and Visitors Bureau Board (Catch DSM), and the Metropolitan Planning Organization Board.  She was previously employed as the assistant director of Keep Iowa Beautiful.
