Rutter's Announces Second Winner in Fuel Up Free Contest

Gasoline giveaway runs through September
YORK, Pa. -- Garry Ferree of Glen Rock, Pa., is the second winner of a year's worth of gasoline in Rutter's Farm Stores Fuel Up Free Contest, the company has announced.

Ferree, who travels around the southcentral Pennsylvania area for work each week, visits a number of area Rutter's stores during the week and credits his daily Rutter's coffee habit with his contest win.

To be entered in the contest, registered Rutter's Rewards cardholders make qualifying purchases during a specified promotional period. In addition to gaining entrance into the Fuel Up Free Contest, [image-nocss] customers earn standard cents off per gallon rewards with each of the qualifying purchases, which can be redeemed for cash savings on gasoline purchases.

The Rutter's Rewards program allows customers to earn cents-off-per-gallon rewards on each purchase of more than 1,600 eligible items throughout each store each time they scan their Rutter's Rewards card. The rewards are immediately redeemable and valid for 60 days from the date on which they are earned.

The Fuel Up Free Contest began at Rutter's stores on May 23, 2011, and will continue though September.

Angela Gilbert of Marietta, Pa., was the first winner of this year's giveaway of free gasoline for a year.

Since the beginning of the Rutter's Rewards program, loyal Rutter's customers across central Pennsylvania have earned cents-off-per-gallon rewards on more than 13 million gallons of fuel.

In other company news, Rutter's recently presented a check for $34,000 to Ann Waltman of the Make-a-Wish Foundation. The money will be used to grant the wishes of 10 local children.

Also, the retailer has added a slider-sized pretzel roll to its breakfast, lunch and dinner menu.
