A Bunch More Pump 'N Munch

Four Rochester, Minn., stations converting from BP

ROCHESTER, Minn. -- Pump 'N Munch convenience stores are more than doubling in number, and soon all will sell BP fuel, according to a report by The Post-Bulletin.

Rochester, Minn.-based Kato Inc., which owns the Pump 'N Munch stations along with several Petrol Pumper truckstops, purchased four Rochester BP stations. Kato is owned by John Jensen and Jack Briggs.

The company is converting all of the locations to Pump 'N Munch stations, said the report.

Conversion of these four sites will bring Kato's total [image-nocss] number of Rochester stations to seven, the newspaper added.

As part of the conversion, Pump 'N Munch will sell BP fuel; it now sells Conoco fuel. ConocoPhillips is pulling out of Minnesota. That brand, along with Phillips 66, will disappear from the state on August 3, the report said.
