Flying J Adds Two Locations

New site opens in Alberta; location opening next week in Texas
OGDEN, Utah -- Flying J Inc. has announced two new locations to its fuel network, one which has already opened in Red Deer, Alberta, and another scheduled to open next week in Jarrell, Texas.

On March 3, 2009, Flying J opened a new fuel stop in Red Deer. This new location sits where a former Flying J cardlock once stood. The facility was replaced with a fuel stop providing guests with five commercial diesel lanes, 12 gasoline lanes, one RV lane, 26 parking spaces, four private showers, drivers' lounge, an ATM, Scan & Go kiosk, overnight truck parking, truck propane and [image-nocss] a hot/cold deli.

The Sonterra Travel Center in Jarrell will be the newest dealership to join the Flying J network on March 10, 2009. This location will offer guests an assortment of eating options with Denny's, Burger King and a local quick-serve eatery offering pizza, salads and deli sandwiches. Drivers will have access to eight commercial diesel lanes, three RV lanes, 20 gasoline lanes, eight private showers, 140 truck parking spaces, laundry facilities, an ATM, drivers' lounge, money wire service, scales, an RV dump and many other services.

Dealerships are independent petroleum marketers offering Flying J diesel products and pricing. Fuel stops are owned by Flying J and offer commercial lanes, gasoline, deli and/or quick serve restaurant, c-store and other select amenities. Flying J cardlocks are convenient unmanned locations with commercial diesel lanes and limited amenities.

Flying J and certain of its subsidiaries filed voluntary petitions to reorganize under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware in late December 2008. (Click here for the most recent CSP Daily News coverage. Andclick here for coverage of the original filing.)
