Lykins Adds Natural-Gas Brokerage to Lineup of Services

Works with businesses to provide value, savings

MILFORD, Ohio -- Lykins Oil Co. has expanded its service offerings to include licensed natural-gas brokerage. Lykins Energy, a division of Lykins Oil Co., will help Ohio businesses save time and money in the state’s deregulated natural-gas market. This latest service offering further positions Lykins as a one-stop energy source for commercial and consumer needs.

“We are excited to add natural-gas services. Our goal is to provide value to our customers by addressing all their energy needs. At Lykins, we are known for providing our customers with the highest-quality products at the lowest-possible price, said president Jeff Lykins.

Lykins said the task of choosing a natural-gas supplier can be overwhelming and time consuming for a business owner. “We analyze how a company does business and its natural-gas usage patterns. We do the leg work and due diligence to thoroughly screen potential suppliers to ensure that they are viable, healthy companies with a reputation to deliver. We obtain competitive prices from multiple suppliers. Then we recommend the natural-gas supplier and pricing options that are best suited to each company’s needs, and we establish an agreement and service with the provider the client company chooses. This helps businesses lower and control monthly bills.”

Lykins added electricity brokerage service to the company’s offerings earlier this year. Lykins said the natural-gas brokerage is a logical expansion of services for Lykins.

Lykins Cos. is a family-owned and -operated business based in Milford, Ohio. The company serves customers in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, as well as throughout the Midwest and the Southeast United States and provides five key services: branded fuels, wholesale fuels, commercial, transportation and home heating oil. The company represents five major brands: BP, Marathon, ExxonMobil, Shell and Clark.
