TAC Energy Acquires Fuel Managers Inc.

Wholesale deal expands company's annual fuel volume to more than 2 billion gallons
TEXARKANA, Texas -- TAC Energy, a division of Truman Arnold Cos., has acquired Fuel Managers Inc. (FMI) wholesale fuels distributor operating in 18 states, effective Oct. 31, 2009. Terms of the sale between the privately held companies are not being disclosed. TAC Energy will maintain all key sales, operations and customer service staff from FMI.

This group will operate from expanded TAC Energy offices in Tulsa, Okla., and Denver, and will be focused on continuing to provide support and service to customers.

TAC Energy currently operates fuel terminals in North Little Rock, Ark., and Caddo Mills, Texas, with a combined capacity of more than one million barrels of storage and is a distributor of gasoline, aviation, diesel and bio fuels in 50 states.

TAC is a Texarkana, Texas-based company founded by Truman Arnold in 1964 as a branded petroleum jobber. Today, TAC is a leading regional petroleum marketing company, offering customers a variety of services through its network of petroleum terminals and aviation fixed-base operations (FBO) facilities. The private company has more than 400 associates with sales exceeding two billion gallons annually.
