McLane, City Stop Ink Deal

Las Vegas retailer extends distribution agreement

TEMPLE, Texas -- McLane Co. Inc. said that it has extended its service agreement with City Stop Stores.

City Stop has been a marketing leader in the Las Vegas market with its programs such as U.S. Post Offices inside all of its stores, Bellanger car washes and the availability of new products, the company said.

McLane has helped us grow our business, said Jon Athey, director of operations for City Stop. Extending the service agreement will help us continue to be successful in serving the needs of our customers and expanding our [image-nocss] business.

Sean Luce, vice president of sales for McLane's Sunwest and Southern California Divisions, said, McLane's goal is to continue to help City Stop achieve their business objectives.

Headquartered in Las Vegas, City Stop operates 10 corporate store locations in Nevada. The City Stops at City Stop is the chain's motto.

Temple, Texas-based McLane provides distribution services, delivering food and nonfood products to more than 50,000 U.S. locations, including those of the convenience store, drug store, mass merchandise, quick-service restaurant and movie theater industries. It operates 19 grocery distribution divisions and 18 foodservice distribution centers as well as an industry-specific software company. McLane is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., Omaha.
