“McLane North Texas continues the company’s strategic initiatives, which drive customer results and position the company for growth into the future,” said Lee Cobb, regional vice president of McLane Grocery.

Craig Rosenthal, division president of McLane Southern, Brookhaven, Miss., will spearhead the new center. McLane North Texas will primarily distribute to the Dallas and Fort Worth area, as well as parts of Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. McLane expects to hire 600 new employees—450 teammates in the distribution center and 150 drivers—to operate the facility.

Temple, Texas-based McLane provides grocery and foodservice supply-chain solutions for convenience stores, mass merchants, drugstores and chain restaurants in the United States. The company operates more than 80 distribution centers and one of the nation's largest private fleets. McLane buys, sells and delivers more than 50,000 consumer products to nearly 110,000 U.S. locations.
