McLane to Support Quik Marts Through 2008

Tucson retailer extends decades-long relationship

TEMPLE, Texas -- McLane Co. Inc. has announced the extension of its service agreement with Quik Mart Stores, a family-owned retailer in Tucson, Ariz., through 2008.

Extension of the contract continues McLane's long-term relationship with Quik Mart, which is celebrating its 40th year serving the convenience needs of Tucson with well-stocked stores and friendly service.

"McLane has always listened to our needs and responded as if we were their most important customer. They have always made us feel that their success was inherent [image-nocss] on our success. It's comforting to have McLane supporting our business," said Troy Little, president of Quik Mart Stores.

"We are enthusiastic about continuing our 21-year relationship through 2008 and will continue to provide Quik Mart with high-quality distribution services to support the aggressive sales and growth goals of Quik Mart," said Bobby Carlson, president of McLane's Sunwest Division.

Quik Mart currently operates 28 stores in the Greater Tucson Area.

Temple, Texas-based McLane provides distribution services throughout the United States, delivering food and nonfood products to more than 50,000 customer locations, including the convenience store, drug store, mass merchandise, quick-service restaurant (QSR) and movie theater industries. The company operates 19 grocery distribution divisions and 18 foodservice distribution centers as well as an industry specific software company. McLane is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
