As a Hero Sponsor for this year's Medal of Honor Knoxville Convention, which run through Sept. 13, Saturday, Pilot Flying J is offering a year of free coffee and commemorative travel mugs free coffee to Congressional Medal of Honor recipients.

"As an Army veteran myself, I understand and appreciate the sacrifices these heroes have made," said Jim Haslam, Pilot Corp. founder and chairman. "Free coffee is a unique way Pilot Flying J can show the Medal of Honor recipients our gratitude for their brave actions."

Last September, Pilot Flying J gave free gas to nearly 1,600 veterans, active soldiers and their families for Operation Tank Full of Love. The company also has celebrated Veteran's Day by offering free services for professional drivers who are veterans and offers favorable employment provisions for those in the military.

And while professional drivers--veteran or not--have an official week of appreciation Sept. 14-20, Pilot Flying J is taking the entire month to recognize their hard work.

The company will offer additional MyRewards points and giveaways for professional drivers throughout September.

From Sept. 15 to Sept. 19, Pilot Flying J is offering:

  • Coupons for one 20-ounce Nestle Pure Life water, or any size coffee, fountain drink or refill.
  • Buy one single Cinnabon item and receive a free item of equal or lesser value.
  • Individual local celebrations and giveaways at each store.

Pilot Flying J, the largest operator of travel centers and travel plazas in North America, is committed to making life better for professional drivers.
