CSP, LNC Announce Merger

Deal enhances retailer meetings and events opportunities

OAK BROOK, Ill. -- CSP Information Group and Leadership Network Corp. are pleased to announce the merger of the two organizations in a move that brings together two of the leading information and networking resources for the convenience-store industry.

I feel like a proud new father as CSP enters a new phase with this growth of its meeting and events arm, said Paul Reuter, president and editorial director of CSP Information Group. The combination of these two companies will present retailers with numerous opportunities, large and small, to interact [image-nocss] with their peers and share ideas about running a business at all levels of their organizations.

Leadership Network Corp. (LNC) plans and runs three major retail shows each year, the Convenience Retailing Conference, which will be held Feb. 11-14 this year, Outlook Leadership and the Restaurant Leadership Conference. Each show provides networking opportunities and high-profile speakers from all areas of business, from authors such as Bill Taylor and Jim Collins to business leaders such as Guy Kawasaki of Apple Computers and Max Lenderman of GMR Marketing LLC. In addition, such speakers as Sam Donaldson and President George H.W. Bush have graced LNC's stage.

CSP's history of bringing together retailers and suppliers for well-attended roundtable meetings and conferences will add new life and vitality to LNC's conferences, while LNC's experience will bring a new level of relationship-building to CSP's events.

This is a match made in heaven, said LNC president David Jobe. CSP and LNC have long had similar goals, to educate retailers. Now with these two forces coming together, I predict great things in the near future.
