CSP Welcomes Donahue

New editor brings six years experience; to lead CSP Independent

OAK BROOK, Ill. -- CSP Information Group is pleased to announce the addition of Bill Donahue to its editorial team.

Donahue comes to CSP from Convenience Store Decisions, where he worked most recently as chief editor. He joins the Oak Brook, Ill.-based communications company as executive editor, heading up CSP Independent, a new quarterly publication targeting independent convenience store owners and operators with 10 stores or less.

Donahue said he looks forward to leading the new publication, which [image-nocss] will debut in March 2006. A lot of the really inventive thinking comes out of the small players out of necessity, Donahue said.

Before joining CSP, Donahue worked at CSD for more than six years. In that time, he profiled the operations of best-in-class companies such as Sheetz, Irving Oil, Maverik Country Stores and 7-Eleven, among others, and penned many industry exclusives focusing on new-to-market retail concepts.

Donahue also co-directed CSD through its first major redesign in its 16-year history. Prior to driving CSD's editorial focus, Donahue contributed articles to a variety of trade and consumer magazines, including Entertainment Management, Sensors, BMA Deadline and Reptiles.

Paul Reuter, president and editorial director of CSP Information Group, said he's excited about Bill joining the CSP editorial team. He's one of the most experienced journalists covering the convenience store industry, he said. His background makes him the perfect person to put in charge of CSP Independent and make it work for the audience. With his addition to our already-seasoned editorial team, there's no telling what CSP will be able to accomplish in 2006 and into the future.
