CHICAGO -- If there were only 100 food stores in the United States, 61 of them would be convenience stores.
If a consumer spent $100 on groceries, $15 would be spent in c-stores.
And out of 100 in-store purchases, 63% would be paid by credit card.
These are just some of the conclusions from Retale's new report "If the U.S. Had Only 100 Retail Stores" that digested the brick-and-mortar retail industry into just 100 locations for comparison's sake.
Chicago-based Retale is a mobile destination for shopping, connecting retailers and brands with more than 6 million shoppers, driving them to stores nearby.
