Kum & Go Re-Opens Craig, Colo., Store

Nearby location also being razed, rebuilt

CRAIG, Colo. -- On Friday, Kum & Go LC opened a new convenience store in Craig, Colo. The original Kum & Go store in this location was demolished and a new 3,400-square-foot store was built in its place.

"We are thrilled to offer the residents of Craig a brand-new Kum & Go store with easier access and a broader offering of products," said Kyle Krause, Kum & Go president and CEO. "We appreciate our customers' patience and loyalty during construction. Kum & Go has enjoyed doing business in Craig for 20 years and we're excited to introduce our new store to the community."[image-nocss]

The new store features 12 conventional fueling stations, offering unleaded, unleaded plus, premium and diesel fuels. In addition to offering quality gasoline, Kum & Go stores feature a variety of food and beverage products, including Java Ridge Premium Coffee, Go Fresh Market Sandwiches, Nuclear energy drinks and Nutri2o nutraceutical waters. The West Des Moines, Iowa-based company also offers potato chips, bottled water, cookies and candy under the Hiland brand name.

As part of Kum & Go's commitment to developing environmentally friendly building and operating practices, the new Craig store integrates heavily insulated glass, LED cooler door lights and energy-efficient coolers into its energy-efficient design.

"We want Kum & Go to continue to be Craig's store of choice for coffee, pop or soda in the morning, gas after work and all the stops in between," Krause said.

Another of the three Craig-area Kum & Go stores is currently being rebuilt and is scheduled to re-open in August. Kum & Go has 27 stores in the state of Colorado, including locations in Greeley and Brighton, which opened earlier this year. Kum & Go plans to continue its growth in Colorado over the next few years with new stores scheduled to be built in Conifer, DeBeque and Loveland.

The family-owned company has more than 430 c-stores in 12 states (Iowa, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Wyoming and Wisconsin). Other proprietary product offerings include Napa Creek and Sea Ridge wines.
