NOCO Promotes DeFilippis to Vice President

Joins convenience-store retailer's executive management leadership group

TONAWANDA, N.Y. -- NOCO Inc. has announced that Jim DeFilippis has been promoted to vice president. In this role, he is now a member of the company's executive management leadership group, the first such group since the company was founded in 1933. DeFilippis also serves as general manager of the NOCO Express gas-station and convenience-store division.

With nearly 40 years of retail industry experience, DeFilippis was the director of merchandising and marketing for NOCO Express prior to his current role with the company.

Before joining NOCO in 2012, he served as the director of fresh food for Acosta Sales & Marketing. He also held several key leadership positions in the supermarket industry, including vice president of operations at Tops Markets, director of produce and floral at Kings Supermarkets, director of operations at Inserra Supermarkets and director of produce and operations at Giant Food Stores. In addition, DeFilippis owned and operated several businesses that included fresh food markets, catering and wholesale salad businesses.

Serving the western New York community for more than 80 years, family owned and locally operated NOCO is based in Tonawanda, N.Y. It offers a full line of products and services including natural gas, electricity, propane, heating oil, HVAC sales and service, commercial fuels and industrial lubricants. The company also operates 37 NOCO Express gas station and convenience stores throughout the region.
