BEAVERTON, Ore. -- The board of directors of Plaid Pantries Inc. has announced the promotion of Jonathan Polonsky to the position of president and chief operating officer, effective immediately.
He previously held the position of COO and executive vice president for the West Coast convenience-store chain.
Polonsky joined Plaid Pantries in July 2012 as the executive vice president.
Along with Polonsky, the Plaid Pantry management team now consists of Chris Girard, chairman and CEO; Tim Cote, vice president of marketing; Bahman Rostamirad, vice president of operations; and Brent Chadwick, vice president and corporate controller.
Founded in 1963, Beaverton, Ore.-based Plaid Pantries operates 110 convenience stores in Oregon and Washington, most situated in metropolitan Portland, Ore. Only 11 locations have fuel, branded 76 and Shell. The store name refers to the plaid decorations originally used on the buildings and roadside pole signs.
