TA Adds 245th Travel Center

Also opens two newly built truck-service facilities

WESTLAKE, Ohio -- TravelCenters of America LLC, operator of the TA and Petro Stopping Centers travel center brands, acquired and rebranded a travel center in Wells, Nev., to the Petro Stopping Centers brand. Petro Wells is located at I-80, exit 352A. The opening of the location raises the number of travel centers in the TA and Petro Stopping Centers branded chain to 245.

Amenities at the new Petro now include:

  • 300 truck parking spaces on a spacious, well-lit parking lot.
  • Six diesel lanes.
  • Fully stocked travel store.
  • Five showers.
  • A full-service restaurant.
  • Emergency roadside service, available 24/7/365.
  • UltraONE Rewards Program kiosk and swiping system.

This location also offers a variety of other full-service professional driver amenities, including Wi-Fi and ATM, check cashing and TripPak services. A CB shop and casino are also offered. Gasoline is offered at six fueling lanes.

"We are very pleased to have acquired this location and open it as another Petro," said Tom O'Brien, president and CEO of TravelCenters. "We will soon be adding a newly built Petro:Lube truck service facility and investing to transform the restaurant to the fabulous Iron Skillet brand in order to bring a more complete full-service offering to professional drivers," he added.

Meanwhile, TravelCenters of America LLC opened two newly built truck-service facilities. The newest Petro:Lube Truck Service is located at I-70, Exit 252 in Salina, Kan., and offers four service bays. TA Truck Service adds is newest facility at I-94, Exit 22B in Porter, Ind., with six bays. Both facilities are open 24/7/365.

Highly trained ASE- and TIA-certified technicians are on staff at these locations and throughout the TA Truck Service and Petro:Lube network. The TA and Petro Service Network specializes in providing light-duty repair, brakes, electrical, alignment, air conditioning, preventive maintenance, inspections and RoadSquad emergency road-call services. These two new locations take the total number of truck-service facilities in the TA and Petro branded chains to 231.

Both facilities have been built to include generator power in case of an electrical outage. Additionally, to enhance the comfort of professional drivers waiting for maintenance work to be performed, outdoor patio and seating areas have been designed for customers to enjoy. Large, indoor waiting areas with TVs are also available.

“We are happy to open new truck-service operations at both of these locations in order to provide a complete full-service offering to customers and keep them rolling,” O’Brien said.
