FAIRFAX, Va. -- Exxon Mobil Corp. said it will convert its 71 Tigermarket convenience stores in Nashville and Memphis, Tenn., to its flagship On the Run c-store brand. The phased conversions have begun in Nashville and are expected to be completed by mid-year 2006. There will be 26 On the Run locations in Nashville and 45 in Memphis.
The conversion of Tigermarkets in Nashville and Memphis demonstrates our commitment to the On the Run convenience store brand, said Mark Shores, U.S. retail sales director for ExxonMobil Fuels Marketing, Fairfax, Va. This [image-nocss] change reflects the tremendous customer acceptance of the On the Run offering. On the Run meets rising consumer expectations for fast service and fresh quality products in a friendly atmosphere.
On the Run c-stores are either operated by company personnel or under a franchise agreement with ExxonMobil. On the Run franchises are available to qualified Exxon or Mobil retailers. There are more than 680 On the Runs in the United States. There are more than 1,360 sites in more than 40 countries worldwide.
The On the Run stores offer a variety of brand-name products and food offerings, including proprietary Bengal Traders gourmet coffee and On the Run Caf a breakfast sandwiches. Most sites have car washes and inside ATMs, as well as ample store-front parking and clean, inside restrooms. While store sizes vary based on local conditions, most On the Run stores are approximately 3,000 square feet.
