DUXBURY, Mass. -- Independent convenience store/gas station retailer VERC Enterprises has promoted Tariq Jameel to the position of district manager, covering a number of the company's locations, including Stoughton, West Bridgewater and Raynham, Mass.
Jameel joined VERC Enterprises last year and soon earned management of the West Bridgewater Mobil location. He will oversee operation of that location and others within the Southeastern Massachusetts corridor in his new post.
He brings many years of service and retail experience [image-nocss] to his position with VERC Enterprises. Prior to joining the company, he served for three years as manager at a Shell station in Waltham, Mass., during which time he received a Best Improvement Location award. Previous to that post, he was manager of a Store24 in Boston. Jameel's professional retail background also includes operating a pizza franchise in Attleboro.
Tariq has been an excellent store manager at our West Bridgewater location, and we're certain he will bring his attention to detail and experience in the service and retail industries to his new post as district manager, said Leo Vercollone, CEO of Duxbury, Mass.-based VERC Enterprises.
VERC Enterprises has locations throughout eastern and southern Massachusetts. The firm has more than 160 employees and said it is actively recruiting new associates and manager trainees.
