Zero Zone Changes Hands in Management-Led Buyout

Exec team to stay in place

NORTH PRAIRIE, Wis. -- Zero Zone Inc. has announced that the company has been acquired in a management-led buyout backed by a local Milwaukee investment group.

The sale, which took effect Feb. 24, 2006, once again makes Zero Zone a privately held company with plants in North Prairie and Genesee, Wis., and Ramsey, Minn.

The Zero Zone management team will remain in place, including Jack Van Der Ploeg, chairman and CEO; Dave Morrow, president; John Duimstra, CFO; and Steve Esslinger, vice president of operations.

We see the acquisition as a very positive development for Zero Zone, said Van Der Ploeg, and view this as a solid opportunity to further strengthen our market position and grow our business, both in refrigeration equipment and refrigeration systems.

Zero Zone manufactures refrigerated display case equipment for the supermarket, convenience store and drug store markets as well as refrigeration and electrical distribution systems used in supermarkets, ice arenas and cold storage industrial applications.
