CITGO Expands Loyalty Bucks Program With Pinnacle's Loyalink

Offering extends relationship by expanding platform with fully integrated loyalty system

HOUSTON -- CITGO has approved The Pinnacle Corp.'s Loyalink loyalty platform  as a new offering within CITGO's Loyalty Bucks program.
Announced in February 2012, CITGO launched its new Loyalty Bucks program (see Related Content below for previous CSP Daily News coverage) and partnered with a small group of loyalty solution and service providers to work with branded retailers in setting up successful independent loyalty programs.

As part of the Loyalty Bucks program, CITGO contributes up to $2,000 per location toward the technology and service costs to implement the program. Pinnacle's Loyalink loyalty solution has since been added to the Loyalty Bucks program and also qualifies for the CITGO contribution incentives.

"We are pleased to be included as part of the new CITGO loyalty program," said Drew Mize, chief operating officer at Pinnacle. "CITGO has developed a compelling program that will offset a significant majority of costs that a retailer would typically incur to implement a successful loyalty offering and provides the service expertise to ensure ongoing success. We've been providing a strong POS [point-of-sale] platform with Pinnacle Palm to CITGO-branded retailers for nearly 15 years; this offering extends that solution by expanding the platform with a fully integrated loyalty system."

Arlington, Texas-based Pinnacle is a leader in the automation technology industry focusing on the convenience store and petroleum industries. Pinnacle delivers products that automate the broad spectrum of c-store operations and supply-chain management of fuel operations.

Pinnacle's customer rewards solution, Loyalink, lets clients create customized programs that work for their organization and customer base, enabling them to build customer loyalty and increase store profits. The program features span an extensive array of options, including fuel and merchandise discounts, rewards for frequent visitors or high spenders and ongoing points accumulation.

CITGO, based in Houston, is a refiner, transporter and marketer of transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals and other industrial products. The company is owned by PDV America Inc., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Petroleos de Venezuela SA, the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
