Additech Announces New Chief Marketing Officer

Jumshyd has worked for Shell, Hasbro, Clorox, ACNielsen

HOUSTON -- Additech, a leading outsourced operator of at-the-pump additive and interactive merchandising systems, has hired Farah Jumshyd to head up its marketing department as chief marketing officer.

"We are looking forward to having Farah lead our marketing efforts," said Bolling H. (Bo) Sasnett III, Additech's president and chief executive officer. "She brings considerable expertise from both an automotive and consumer marketing standpoint and we expect her energy and enthusiasm to enable a step change in our business performance."

Jumshyd is a successful leader who combines a creative, entrepreneurial spirit with analytical business savvy, he said.

"I am excited to join the team," said Jumshyd. "While the marketing of fuel additives to consumers has always been a challenge, I believe that Additech has a competitive advantage with its dispensing technology. With the recent changes in leadership, a solid product and key technical advantages, all the elements are in place for significant business growth."

Jumshyd has considerable experience in additives, car care and lubricants marketing after spending 11 years at Shell Oil Co. as director of business improvement, chief marketing officer (Shell Car Care International), and group manager of innovation. Her achievements include building a new product development department, innovating and launching more than 60 new products, establishing a global presence for a variety of car care brands and improving business productivity.

Prior to Shell, she was a group brand manager at The Hasbro Toy Co., marketing manager at The Clorox Co. and marketing research consultant with ACNielsen at Minute Maid.

Additech, based in Houston, offers patented systems, currently installed on more than 5,000 fueling positions, which enable fuel retailers to merchandise a variety of products and services to consumers at the gasoline dispenser. The company's technology integrates with fuel dispensers and point-of-sale (POS) systems to offer retailers a complete merchandising solution. Additech offers its solutions to high-volume fuel retailers on a turnkey service basis. Retailers receive a share of Additech's revenues, without having to make a capital investment, while Additech is responsible for installing, operating and maintaining the systems. Major retailer partners include HEB, Kroger and Murphy USA.
