AIMS, Simmons Partner on Fuel Management Solutions

Will allow for expanded marketing presence

MONROE, La. -- AIMS Inc. said that it has entered into a joint marketing partnership with SIMMONS Corp., to market its fuel management solutions. SIMMONS, headquartered in Richardson, Texas, specializes in providing tank gauges, web dispatching and fuel inventory management software that can collect daily fuel sales and daily fuel tank levels, detect tank and line leaks and provide statistical inventory reconciliation.

SIMMONS' automatic tank gauging (ATG) systems monitor thousands of tanks throughout North America and Europe. SIMMONS' newest service, ClearView, is a fuel [image-nocss] monitoring system. By continuously reconciling every sale to changes in tank levels, ClearView detects the smallest fuel shrinkage issues and alerts convenience store owners. ClearView provides the oversight of equipment and fuel inventory required by today's fuel resellers, the company said. With Clearview, owners and operators can see fuel losses by category, losses due to temperature change and delivery shortages in detail.

"Accurate collection of fuel inventory and sales data is paramount for wholesale marketers and c-store operators to manage their businesses profitability," said David Dorries, director of sales and marketing for AIMS. "AIMS is committed to driving out unnecessary costs and increasing efficiencies for our clients, and fuel inventory management is one of the most import links in their supply chain."

Dorries said that choosing SIMMONS to become a partner in AIMS' comprehensive suite of fuel management solutions makes great business sense for clients. "With SIMMONS' tank management solutions, AIMS is able to offer all petroleum marketers and c-store operators a cost-effective way to collect fuel inventory and sales data that flows directly into AIMS' COMPAS Commander accounting software," he said.

Myra Canterbury, president of SIMMONS, added, "This partnership with AIMSwill allow us to expand our presence to customers in all areas of the country."

SIMMONS offers UST compliance and fuel management systems. Since 1991, it has provided comprehensive, packaged UST solutions, services and equipment to the retail and wholesale petroleum industry across North America, Canada and Europe. SIMMONS is the expert in using technology to provide leak detection compliance, fuel dispatching, detecting fuel shrinkage and managing consigned fuel services.

AIMS is headquartered in Monroe, La. For more than 40 years, it has been developing, marketing and supporting a wide array of software products and services for the wholesale petroleum distribution industry. Their products include COMPAS Commander, a complete fuel wholesale and retail accounting software system developed in a Windows environment; AutoSend, a specialized UST fuel inventory management and dispatching software system; AutoSIR, an in-house Statistical Inventory Reconciliation software system; and AutoTax, a standalone tax solution that offers marketers a better choice when filing EDI motor fuel tax reports.
