Alon USA Selects RBS Lynk as Payment Processor

Will process both pay-at-the-pump transactions, in-store card sales

DALLAS -- Independent refiner-marketer Alon USA Energy Inc. has selected RBS Lynk as its new credit card processor.

Atlanta-based RBS Lynk, the U.S. payments processing division of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group and a nonbank subsidiary of Citizens Financial Group Inc., will manage credit, debit and gift card transactions for Alon's distributor network of FINA-branded convenience stores including Alon's wholly owned subsidiary Southwest Convenience Stores LLC, the largest 7-Eleven licensee in North America. RBS Lynk will process both pay-at-the-pump [image-nocss] transactions and in-store card sales.

RBS Lynk's range of certifications for point-of-sale (POS) equipment, including integrated pay-at-the-pump systems, provides marketers flexibility for future upgrades in services and offerings. Marketers can select dialup, frame relay or Internet processing, based on the needs of each particular store.

As an RBS Lynk customer, Alon will receive a greater variety of processing solutions. Alon's conversion to RBS Lynk is expected to commence in fourth-quarter 2007.

Alon USA operates primarily in the southwestern and western regions of the United States. The company owns and operates four sour and heavy crude oil refineries in Texas, California and Oregon, with crude oil throughput capacity of approximately 170,000 barrels per day. It markets gasoline and diesel products under the FINA brand name and is a major producer of asphalt. Alon also operates more than 200 convenience stores in West Texas and New Mexico under the 7-Eleven and FINA brand names and supplies motor fuels to these stores from its Big Spring refinery.

RBS Lynk is a single-source provider of electronic payment processing services including credit, debit, EBT, checks, gift cards, e-commerce, customer loyalty cards, fleet cards, prepaid cards, ATM processing and cash management services.
