Digital coupons reward customers with seven free drinks

ATLANTA -- RaceTrac launched a new rewards app that offers digital coupons for free drinks to customers who download the “RaceTrac Rewards” app, the company said.

Loyal customers can select their choice of a 16-ounce coffee or 32-ounce fountain or frozen beverage, along with countless other coupons and rewards to be earned throughout the year.  

“RaceTrac’s mission is to make people’s lives simpler and more enjoyable, and the RaceTrac Rewards app delivers on this promise by providing our guests with the opportunity to receive unique coupons and exclusive offers by doing what they do best—being loyal ‘TracFanatics',” Melanie Isbill, executive director of marketing for Atlanta-based RaceTrac, told CSP Daily News. “We’re always listening to our guests’ feedback as a way to stay on top of the industry and consumer trends, and the debut of the RaceTrac Rewards app is the result of our guests’ desire for a great value-add to their shopping experience.”

By participating in RaceTrac’s loyalty program via the app, customers can move up a ranking scale with points they earn with nearly every purchase made in the store or at the pump. Each loyalty rank is associated with a different level of RaceTrac “royalty,” from Duke of Hot Dog to Prince of Pastry and King of Coffee to Sultan of Soda.

Additionally, the app features a store locator. Using the customer’s GPS location, the app lists the closest stores by mile, shows each store’s gas prices and lists amenities offered, such as the availability of free Wi-Fi, RaceTrac’s Swirl World frozen treat bar or E85 gas.

Customers can also load gift cards onto the app to take advantage of mobile-payment capabilities, put their rewards points toward a donation to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or play the app’s interactive racing game.

To download the app, customers can visit the Google Play or Apple app stores and search for “RaceTrac.”

As a disclaimer, RaceTrac officials said customers must redeem the seven free drinks within two weeks of the download date, with the offer valid through April 30, 2016. The RaceTrac Rewards app can only be used at RaceTrac stores, which are located across Georgia, Florida, Louisiana and Texas.

Based in Atlanta, the third-generation led, family-owned RaceTrac started in 1934 and now operates more than 400 convenience stores. In January 2012, RaceTrac introduced its new store prototype featuring Swirl World frozen treats, an expanded coffee bar and fresh salads, sandwiches, fruits and bakery items delivered fresh daily.
