CSP Launches Two New Tablet Apps

CSP magazine, CSP Daily News now available in tablet format

OAK BROOK, Ill. -- CSP Information Group today announced two new additions to its portfolio of mobile products, the CSP Magazine HD Tablet Reader and CSP Daily News Tablet Edition, both of which are available immediately as a free download for iPad and Android tablet users via the Apple App Store and the Android Market.

With the CSP Magazine HD Tablet Reader, mobile readers can access complete issues of CSP magazine in high-definition, crystal-clear pages including all editorial and advertising content. The app is fully searchable, allowing readers to conduct content searches across a single issue or all CSP magazine issues at a time. Content can be saved as "favorites" for quick access later and can be emailed directly from the app with just a few taps. Web links in both editorial content and advertising are live and external web content can be launched in the app's integrated web browser or in full-screen mode.

The convenience and interactivity of the CSP Magazine HD Tablet Reader will provide for a whole new opportunity and experience for readers of CSP magazine as well as for CSP advertisers, according to John Callanan, publisher of interactive media for CSP's Convenience & Petroleum Retailing Group.

"With more than 100 million tablet devices expected to reach the global market this year and projections topping 300 million by 2015--and with 80% of Fortune 500 companies now deploying tablet devices as a business tool, we believe CSP has once again raised the bar with regard to deploying leading-edge technology in business-to-business communications," Callanan said. "Our new tablet reader will make CSP's award-winning content more accessible while opening up new avenues for our advertisers to interact with the convenience store and retail fuels marketplace."

Callanan added that additional interactive editorial advertising features, including in-article and in-advertisement full-motion video and animation, will be added to the app in the coming weeks. For advertisers in the magazine, the tablet version will provide added measurement of ad effectiveness.

In addition to the CSP Magazine HD Tablet Reader, CSP also announced the launch of a new tablet version of its CSP Daily News Mobile app. Like the CSP Daily News mobile app, the new tablet version contains easy-to-access news on the convenience and fuels retailing industry updated daily. Readers can easily save articles or share them via email, Facebook or Twitter.

Both new tablet apps are available for download immediately via the Apple App Store and Android Market. The CSP Magazine HD Tablet Reader will load into the new Apple Newsstand in the iOS environment, where it will be automatically updated with a new issue each month. The CSP Daily News Mobile Tablet Edition will update daily on the tablet device.
