DataMax Teams with SAP

Deal will deliver business management solution for small, midsized c-tailers

ROUND ROCK, Texas -- DataMax Group has signed an agreement with SAP America Inc., a subsidiary of SAP AG, to deliver an integrated business management solution based on SAP Business One for small and midsize convenience retailers.

The new solution combines the backoffice capabilities of DataMax with SAP Business One, SAP's affordable, integrated business management solution for small and midsize businesses. The solution provides enterprise management, real-time merchandising and retail operations capabilities in a single software offering.

The new solution from DataMax for convenience retailing will include specific industry applications to address pricebook activities, category management and merchandising, improved store operations, enhanced vendor management capabilities and support for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements.

SAP Business One offers fully integrated financial, banking and customer relationship management teamed with the solutions' award-wining Drag & Relate data management for small and midsized businesses to streamline their operational and managerial processes. The combined solution from DataMax and SAP enables maximum visibility and control and provides convenience retailers with a platform for growth.

The relationship will raise the bar for an industry that is ill served by technology, said Lee Pennington, DataMax CEO. If customers want to compete in today's low-margin world, they need a technology advantage.

By addressing the needs of small and midsized companies, the vertical industry offering of SAP Business One from DataMax provides an additional new option to enable greater integration and visibility for parent companies running SAP solutions for larger enterprises and their convenience retailing networks. SAP Business One offers a flexible, core business management platform for SAP solution partners to build extensions to meet vertical industry and other critical business needs.
