ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Pinnacle Corp. introduced the latest version of its browser-based, tank-inventory system to include mobile capabilities.
The latest release of its Dispatcher Workstation adds mobile monitoring and alert capabilities. It also allows a Pinnacle-hosted SaaS implementation model for operators who don’t have or don’t want the required information technology (IT) infrastructure.
The solution monitors and displays multi-site fuel inventory information graphically and in real-time, enabling operators to quickly and accurately assess fuel inventories and respond to immediate dispatch and inventory needs, officials with the Arlington, Texas-based firm say. With its predictive analysis tools and algorithms, Dispatcher Workstation provides operators with gallon-per-hour depletion rates and product run-out timeframes, forecasting when inventory will be exhausted.
Inevitably, the product minimizes dispatcher errors resulting in over-stocking fuel tanks with excessive inventory, Pinnacle officials said. With the ability to quickly determine when locations really require replenishment and confirm in real time when fuel loads have been delivered, the solution facilitates a "just-in-time" fuel-inventory management model, officials said.
“Real-time information is the key to accomplishing a true just-in-time fuel-inventory management program,” said Brian Reynolds, director of fuel solutions at Pinnacle. “Fuel-price volatility is here to stay, and most operators are more dependent than ever on ‘split-load’ delivery capabilities. [Our solution] assists dispatchers and fuel buyers in making more informed delivery decisions, and now does so from the convenience of their mobile device.”
