Gas City Selects Radiant Systems as POS Provider

Solution will enhance customer experience, integrate, enhance loyalty program
FRANKFORT, Ill. -- Gas City Ltd. has signed an agreement with Radiant Systems Inc. to deploy Radiant Point of Sale (POS) and related technology to the gasoline retailer's more than 50 locations in northeastern Illinois, northwestern Indiana, Florida and Arizona.

"Our goal is to deliver a customer experience that is unique to Gas City," said William A. McEnery, executive vice president at Gas City, Frankfort, Ill. "Radiant's leadership in the industry and commitment to innovation and data security fit well with that goal and played a big part in our selection of Radiant as [image-nocss] our POS platform moving forward."

The Radiant solution includes Radiant POS software, P1560 hardware terminals with Order Confirmation Displays, S4600 site servers, Radiant Electronic Payment Controllers and Tiger Fuel Controllers. The Radiant solution will integrate to Gas City's ADD Systems backoffice solution using the industry-standard PCATS NAXML POS-to-backoffice interface. Additionally, Gas City will deploy Radiant Loyalty Manager, allowing the retailer to interface its POS with its existing customer loyalty program from KickBack Points.

Key to Gas City's selection of Radiant POS is the Radiant solution's leading marketing capabilities. The new solution also gives Gas City the ability to integrate to and enhance its existing loyalty program.

"Radiant continues to be the choice for regional leaders like Gas City," said Jimmy Frangis, vice president for the petroleum and convenience retail division at Radiant Systems. "With a truly scalable product, we are able to meet the current and future needs of all retailers by delivering an enhanced customer experience with rock-solid data security."

Headquartered in Atlanta, Radiant Systems is a global provider of technology to the hospitality, retail and entertainment industries. Its POS hardware and software solutions are used in more than 100,000 restaurants, retail stores, stadiums, parks, arenas, cinemas, convenience stores, fuel centers and other customer-service venues.
