Gilbarco Veeder-Root Announces New Retail Solutions Sales Team

Company vet Bowden will lead effort, joined by Carlisle, Fernando

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Gilbarco Veeder-Root has appointed a seasoned team of sales professionals to help customers expertly and efficiently navigate their retail technology challenges and to ensure customers have the dedicated resources they need to meet the growing demands of the retail environment.

"Our customers continue to focus their efforts on growth in c-store sales and differentiation through better consumer services," said Chris Whitley, vice president and general manager of sales for Gilbarco Veeder-Root. "This sales reorganization will help us to support our customers through our suite of retail systems designed to grow sales."

The new retail solutions sales team will be led by Gilbarco Veeder-Root veteran Larry Bowden. Bowden brings more than 25 years of experience in the petroleum industry through both distribution and technology providers. He joined Gilbarco Veeder-Root in 2007 and has emerged as a key figure in Gilbarco customers' sales growth.

Kipp Carlisle and Albert Fernando join Bowden as retail solutions sales managers. Carlisle has worked both domestically and internationally in development, marketing, and sales of retail technologies over the past 25 years. Most recently his focus has been on the petroleum industry, specifically in emerging payment technologies and c-store profitability.

Fernando joined Gilbarco Veeder-Root in 2010 as a channel manager and quickly progressed to the product manager role for Applause Forecourt Merchandising. He also brings past consumer packaged goods (CPG) company experience to his new role, giving him a broad awareness and understanding of the retail environment.
