Gilbarco Veeder-Root, Gas Station TV Partner

Integrates GSTV directly into pump

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Gilbarco Veeder-Root is partnering with Gas Station TV, a provider of digital out-of-home media, to introduce new fuel dispenser functionality that fully integrates GSTV's content with Gilbarco's color merchandising systems.

The gas station dispenser is becoming increasingly recognized as a merchandising tool for driving additional revenue for retailers. The addition of integrated media complements our current merchandising solutions and provides our customers with the most complete, technologically advanced set of merchandising options [image-nocss] to best meet their needs, said Kirsten Paust, vice president of marketing for Gilbarco Veeder-Root. Never before has a content experience as entertaining and dynamic as GSTV been fully integrated into the dispenser.

Retailers will be able to develop customized promotions to drive traffic into their stores, and be able to more efficiently take advantage of GSTV's highly engaging content experience.

Integrating GSTV in Gilbarco dispensers is the next natural evolution of forecourt technology, said David Leider, CEO of GSTV. Customers will enjoy the same rich, engaging content experience they've come to expect from GSTV but in a more sleek, technologically advanced package. At the same time, retailers will benefit from state-of-the-art technology that not only enhances the appeal of their stations and builds customer loyalty, but also increases their bottom line.

GSTV currently reaches more than 40 million viewers a month with major retail partners, including Chevron, CITGO, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, Murphy USA (at Wal-Mart), Shell, Speedway, Sunoco and Valero. Since its launch in 2006, it said, GSTV has exhibited growth to 5,000 screens in more than 300 cities nationwide including major media markets such as New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Detroit, Tampa and others.

Greensboro, N.C.-based Gilbarco Veeder-Root is a leading supplier of integrated fuel control, site management and support services for petroleum marketers and commercial fueling enterprises worldwide.

Detroit-based Gas Station TV is an IP-based digital TV network at the pump. Captive consumers are engaged for 4.5 minutes during their pump transactions with nothing to do. There is only one channel, no remote controls, DVRs or PC multitasking. GSTV provides a programming experience with select news and entertainment content from the ABC Television Network, sports from ESPN, as well as local weather to engage customers and enable marketers to connect with on-the-go consumers. The content, programmed for a highly desirable and captive audience, can be specifically tailored to geography and time of day.
