Heartland Country Co-op Selects iRely Software

Firm will provide real-time data to diversified business, including Cenex c-store

WESTBY, Wis. -- Heartland Country Co-op has forged a partnership with iRely LLC, a leading developer of commodity software solutions, to implement a comprehensive business software system.

Founded in 1940, Heartland Country Co-op, based in Westby, Wis., services a variety of local industries, including agronomy, feed, heating and air conditioning, convenience store, hardware store and petroleum businesses.

With iRely software, Heartland will have access to real-time data that can be used to improve office efficiencies and foster better communication between its three offices and various departments. While previous tasks such as grain ticket input were done manually and reentered, operators will now be able to record this data directly to the iRely platform via an onsite terminal.

"As a growing co-op, we needed a way to integrate all the information we collect into one easy-to-use system," Peggy Fortun, office manager of Heartland, said. "We were drowning in spreadsheets. iRely's software will improve efficiencies across the board, reducing duplicate work and automating many of the time consuming tasks we once had to handle manually."

iRely also presented the best solution as its system is well-suited to managing multiple business operations under one roof. Moreover, the platform is easily scalable to allow Heartland to seamlessly bring onboard additional users and companies to the system.

Other software benefits Heartland plans to leverage will include timely inventory management, employee tracking, e-commerce sales and the ability to send ticket information electronically.

"We are very excited to add Heartland Country Co-op as a customer," said George Olney, iRely COO. "Giving employees and co-op members access to real-time data is an essential tool for success today. We believe our software will be the perfect fit for their organization."

iRely serves more than 400 agribusinesses, cooperatives, traders, feed/food manufacturers, petroleum distributors and convenience stores in more than 12 countries from its headquarters in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Heartland Country Co-op is a diversified production AG Cooperative with branch stores in Cashton and Lafarge, Wis. Heartland operates an Ace Hardware Store, agronomy center, organic and conventional feed mills, car care center, Cenex convenience store, York heating and air conditioning, bulk fuel and propane sales.
