Tanknology Partners With Simmons

Will provide nationwide ATG installation service

AUSTIN, Texas -- Tanknology Inc., a leading underground storage tank (UST) environmental compliance services company, and Simmons Corp. a leading supplier of fuel inventory and tank compliance monitoring systems, have announced that the two companies have entered into a partnership agreement in which Tanknology will install Simmons' Tank Manager for Windows UST Automatic Tank Gauge systems throughout the United States.

Under this new program, Tanknology will provide certified installation service for Simmons' ATG customers throughout the U.S., in order to support the [image-nocss] increasing demand for the ATG.
Allen Porter, the president and CEO of Tanknology, foresees positive market reception for the Simmons ATG system now that it will be available for installation and service in all areas of the country.

"The Simmons system offers excellent value for a UST site operator. As it is a PC-based system, requiring no separate controller box, it is substantially less expensive than the market-leading ATG options. This makes it an attractive value proposition for some segments of the UST marketplace. We are pleased to be partnering with Simmons to provide their customers with installation service through our nationwide network of UST service technicians."

Myra Canterbury, president of Simmons, added, "We are very excited about this partnership with Tanknology, as it will allow us to provide our cost-effective ATG solutions to customers in all areas of the country. Tanknology has an unmatched reputation as the premiere UST compliance services company in the U.S., so we're very pleased to be partnering with them for installation of our systems."

The TMW650 is the latest generation of Simmons' ATG technology, which has been proven exceptionally reliable over more than 20 years of use in retail fueling facilities. The system's highly dependable ultrasonic probes are installed in thousands of tanks in the United States and Europe. The system, which comes in two different size configurations, is PC-based, and runs on a standard Windows-based computer. This allows it to run on a computer which typically is already in use at the facility.

According to Porter, at a typical fueling facility, a Tanknology installation crew will generally complete a new Simmons ATG system installation in a single day.

Richardson, Texas-based Simmons is a leader in low-cost UST compliance and fuel management systems. It provides monthly tank and leak detection monitoring services for tens of thousands of USTs in the United States., Canada, UK and Australia. Its automatic tank gauging (ATG) systems monitor thousands of tanks throughout North America and Europe.

Based in Austin, Texas, Tanknology operates across America and around the world, providing UST environmental compliance testing and related services at more than 50,000 sites per year, for more than 3,000 customers. Internationally, Tanknology licensees span more than 25 countries, providing services to the largest petroleum operators in the world.
