ARLINGTON, Texas -- Stewart's Shops Corp., Nouria Energy Corp. and R.L. Vallee Inc. have all purchased The Pinnacle Corp.s Fuel Smart, a fuel management system designed for high-volume petroleum marketers.

From accounting to ordering and dispatch, Fuel Smart will provide Stewarts with the tools needed to streamline our fuel operations," said Pat Suprenant,information technology (IT) manager of Stewart's Shops, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
Stewart's Shops, which operates [image-nocss] more than 300 convenience stores, also uses Pinnacles Palm POS and Journal Manager.
Tony El-Nemr, president of Shrewbury, Mass.-based Nouria Energy, said, We intend to leverage Fuel Smart in several ways"to provide high-quality customer service, to collaborate more fully with key business partners, to drive down costs through internal operational effectiveness and to maximize overall profitability."
Nouria Energy is a Shell jobber in New England and will be installing Fuel Smart for its wholesale operations. Nouria is a wholly owned subsidiary of ENT Inc., a 40-store chain.
Fuel Smart handles all essential aspects of fuel management from wholesale purchase at a terminal to sale at the pump. It automates the day-to-day tasks of a fuel operation such as gathering prices from suppliers, quoting prices to customers, reconciling invoices, importing store system sales reports and exporting transactions to an accounting program.
St. Albans, Vt.-based R.L. Vallee operates Maplefields c-stores and distributes gasoline and diesel fuel throughout Vermont and Northeastern New York. In addition to its core business, R.L. Vallee also owns and operates The Verterre Group, an environmental remediation and consulting unit. A client of Pinnacles since 1993, R.L. Vallee has committed to implementing Pinnacles Symphony.auditor, Dynamics GP and Fuel Smart. It is currently using Pinnacles Oasis Manager Workstation.
