Vending Company Deploying 'Mini Store'

Vend Mart billed as 24-hour c-store

CORONA, Calif. -- Automated Vending Technologies Inc. said that it is finalizing details to deploy its new Vend Mart within its current network of more than 1,000 vending systems.

Vend Mart features a new, single high-capacity beverage tray, increased delivery bin size for product variety and easy product removal and is "technology ready" to accept any number of AVT's specialty technologies to aid in additional revenue generation and increased vending efficiency, the company said.

"The Vend Martblends AVT's next-generation RAM 4000 [image-nocss] vending system with several of its specially patent-pending technologies creating a 'mini store' designed to vend products which have been customized to each location's specific needs," said AVT's marketing consultant Teresa Papac.

She added, "The Vend Mart is basically a convenience store that is open 24 hours a day and brings a new dynamic to the world of vending. It adds true diversity to AVT's already considerable vending operations."

Each Vend Mart will be customized to vend products that will maximize convenience for the consumers at each location. The Vend Mart can vend items from pens and pencils to ice-cold beverages and more, allowing for payment by credit, debit and cash. Payments made by credit card are processed via the Internet, sending encrypted transaction data for approval.

Corona, Calif.-based AVT will begin offering the Vend Mart to independent operators, distributors and end users during first-quarter 2008. Kim Alexander, AVT's vice president of operations, said AVT will start deploying Vend Marts in early January at specific locations including Westwood College and Toyota of Corona.
