VeriFone Receives First Interac Certification

CORRECTION

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- VeriFone Inc. was the first payment provider to obtain Interac Association Device Certification for outdoor payment solutions. CSP Daily News mistakenly reported otherwise and regrets the error.

San Jose, Calif.-based VeriFone received Interac Association certification for its OP4100 payment device used in the Secure PumpPAY fuel dispenser retrofit solution on November 16, 2007. The certification was performed by Domus IT Security Laboratory, where the VeriFone OP4100 device received Certificate No. 140 for successfully completing Interac Association Technical Specifications [image-nocss] and Testing Requirements for Chip PED Device, Version 2.0, 22 June 2007. All tests were successfully passed with no exceptions.
