Will leverage AllScan C-Store Tracking Service

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. -- Wilson Farms Neighborhood Food Stores, which operates 199 convenience store and gas station locations across New York state, has selected Information Resources Inc. (IRI) as a market information partner. Wilson Farms will share its point-of-sale (POS) data from all of its stores with IRI for incorporation into the new IRI AllScan Convenience Store Tracking service.

The IRI AllScan service will enhance our category managers' ability to make fact-based decisions on assortment, procurement, merchandising and pricing, said Nick Gallegos, [image-nocss] vice president of sales and marketing and general partner of Wilson Farms, Williamsville, N.Y. We will also leverage the IRI insights to capitalize on opportunities around multi-outlet market trends and category seasonality.

IRI AllScan Convenience Store Tracking is a scanner-based POS tracking service that delivers data and business insights to help manufacturers and retailers improve category management effectiveness and retail execution across the entire convenience channel. It is the only c-store business reporting service enabling user's visibility into all categories with weekly granularity, according to the firm. The service is based on 11,000 POS scan stores, it added.

Wilson Farms operates the Wilson Farms Neighborhood Food Stores, Wilson Farms Xpress and Sugarcreek Stores.

Chicago-based IRI is a major provider of consumer, shopper and retail market intelligence and insights for consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail and healthcare companies.
