Bazooka Launches New Gummy Candy

Match-Ems come in eight fruit-based, mix-and-match flavors

NEW YORK -- Bazooka Candy Brands has debuted Match-Ems, a line of fruit-flavored gummy treats, at convenience stores, grocery stores and other retailers nationwide.

The gummies come in eight flavors: Sour Blue Raspberry, Sour Green Apple, Sour Watermelon, Banana, Cherry, Pear, Orange and Strawberry. They are packaged in 3.8-ounce share packs and 8-ounce resealable stand-up pouches. Each Match-Em has two interlocking shapes, which allows consumers to create their own flavor combination by pairing two together. Some Match-Em combos include Fruit Punch (Cherry and Orange), Tropical Kiwi Explosion (Sour Green Apple and Pear) and Sour Blackberry (Sour Watermelon and Sour Blue Raspberry).

"Our consumers are always looking to maximize flavor options, and Match-Ems is the only gummy that lets them mix and match their favorite fruity flavors to create new ones," said Nicole Rivera, director of marketing for Bazooka Candy Brands. "We used new 3-D gummy technology and our flavor expertise to create fun interlocking shapes that taste great when combined. Who would have guessed that a Banana and Orange gummy together could taste like Bubble Gum?"

The Match-Ems product launch will also include a live-action and animated TV ad called "Extra Hands," which debuted March 19 on Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Nicktoons. And Bazooka Candy Brands has even released an interactive game in conjunction with Match-Ems that fans can play online at CandyMania.com.
