7-Eleven Turns Up the HEAT

Scores basketball sponsorship deal

MIAMI -- The 2006 NBA Champion Miami HEAT said that the team has entered into a partnership with 7-Eleven Inc. As part of the company's multi-year sponsorship, 7-Eleven will be the Official Convenience Store of the Miami HEAT.

7-Eleven will present the HEAT Xtreme Team, which is the Miami HEAT's co-ed slam dunk team that entertains HEAT fans with daring acts and energetic routines during HEAT games and events, as well as throughout the South Florida Community.

The Miami HEAT is proud to partner with 7-Eleven, one of the most recognizable [image-nocss] and respected retail brands in the marketplace, said Eric Woolworth, HEAT president of business operations.

John Moritz, 7-Eleven marketing director, said, The partnership with the Miami HEAT is part of a full-court press to reach our customers during their more leisure activities.

The partnership also includes ads on the HEATV center-hung scoreboard and the American Airlines Arena's LED system at every HEAT home game each season.

Dallas-based 7-Eleven will also receive sponsorship of a number of half-time promotions. The 7-Eleven promotional team has rights to distribute coupons and information to fans after every home game. In addition, 7-Eleven will also air commercials on the team's radio broadcasts on 610 WIOD (English) and WQBA 1140AM (en Espa aol), and it will have a presence on HEAT.com.
