BriteMedia Acquires NextMedia's Gas Station Pumptoppers

Broadens alternative media offering

SAN FRANCISCO -- Brite Media Group said that it has acquired the alternative media division of NextMedia, an out-of- home media company, for an undisclosed amount. The division, which is the nation's largest provider of indoor and gas station pump-top advertising, will operate under the name BriteMedia.

Brite Media Group is an alternative media company that operates BriteVision, a cup sleeve marketing company. The acquisition of this division positions Brite Media Group to be a leader in alternative media, it said, a single company offering various established [image-nocss] alternative media products.

The addition of the former NextMedia's gas stations and indoor venues further diversifies Brite Media Group's distribution network of coffeehouses, convenience stores and airports.

San Francisco-based BriteVision's exclusive Cafe Network consists of more than 6,000 cafes.

Minneapolis-based BriteMedia has more than 7,000 indoor advertising displays and 10,000 partner gas stations located nationwide, it said.

Brite Media Group is backed by Trimaran Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in New York City.
