Conoco, Phillips 66 Host Angel Tree Promotion in Missouri

Work with Boys & Girls Club to provide Christmas gifts to in-need youth

HOUSTON -- Conoco and Phillips 66, fuel brands with high-performance petroleum products, announced their support of the 2012 Angel Tree program with 105.9 KGBX radio station and the Boys & Girls Club in Springfield, Mo. The holiday campaign, which will provide Christmas gifts to more than 800 underprivileged youth in the Ozarks, will be hosted at various Conoco and Phillips 66 gas stations in the area.

From Monday, Nov. 19, until Tuesday, Dec. 18, Springfield residents can stop by any of the 25 participating stores to get involved with the 2012 Angel Tree initiative. Each participatory drop-in location will have a Christmas tree on display with the names, ages and wish lists of children in need. Customers and in-store visitors will have the ability to take the gift tags home in order to fulfill a child’s Christmas gift request.

“We are incredibly grateful to 105.9 KGBX and Boys & Girls Club of Springfield for allowing us the opportunity to be part of such a special cause this holiday season,” said Tami Walker, manager, U.S. Fuels Brand Management for Conoco and Phillips 66 brand fuels. “We’re always looking to pursue unique and meaningful ways to give back to our loyal customers and the community. We hope our role in this program will encourage local supporters to join us as we make a difference in the lives of children and families.”

All donations received at the Conoco and Phillips 66 convenience stores will be wrapped by the Boys & Girls Club and distributed during its annual Christmas party on Friday, Dec. 21.

“Rapid Robert’s Conoco gas stations are excited to bring our community together and help more children have a memorable Christmas this year through the Angel Tree program,” said Todd Wilson, director of marketing at Rapid Robert’s. “We believe that our customers truly want to give back, and with this program, they have a very easy way to do that while fueling up their car or making a purchase in our store.”

Based in Houston, Phillips 66 is a downstream energy company with refining and marketing, midstream and chemicals businesses. With more than 7,000 retail fuel sites, its U.S. marketing business supplies gasolines under the Phillips 66, 76 and Conoco brands.
