CSP Takes ASBPE Honors

Editors lauded for graphics, post-Katrina coverage

OAK BROOK, Ill. -- CSP magazine's editors have been honored by the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) for editorial and graphic excellence in multiple categories for the fifth straight year.

National honorees this year were the entire CSP editorial staff and Keystroke Graphics, silver, for Best Information Graphics (Category Management Handbook, April 2005). In June, Steve Holtz, Mitch Morrison and Angel Abcede received a regional silver for Best News/Analysis (Scenes From a Stormand Its Aftermath, October 2005) for their post-Katrina [image-nocss] coverage.

CSP's editors were among several winners at the 28th annual ASBPE National Awards for editorial excellence. The national winners were announced Thursday, July 21, at the annual awards dinner in Chicago. CSP's awards came from a record 2,600-plus total entries in more than 20 categories.

ASBPE's annual competition recognizes the work by business, trade, professional and association publication editors and editorial designers in several regions and nationwide. Founded in 1964, ASBPE is the professional association for full-time and freelance editors and writers employed in the business, trade and specialty press.
