Mark VII Adds Four to Sales Team

Believes "it's a perfect time to add feet on the street"

ARVADA, Colo. -- Car-wash equipment supplier Mark VII Equipment Inc. has announced the addition of four professionals to its direct-sales organization.

Stephen Essary has assumed the role of sales manager for the state of Texas (excluding the Panhandle and El Paso). He has almost 30 years of sales and management experience in the heavy-equipment and construction industries.

Mark Martinez, who is based in San Antonio, will sell Mark VII products throughout central and southwest Texas. He joins Mark VII from Surgipath, where he was responsible for selling medical products to more than 160 [image-nocss] accounts across Texas.

Randy Phillips, who is based in St. Louis, has taken over sales responsibility for the southern Illinois and eastern Missouri market. He was previously a field technician for Mark VII in the same market and has more than seven years of experience in the car-wash industry.

Will Quaglieri, who is based in Denver, has joined the Key Accounts sales team, where he will focus on driving sales to regional and national gas and convenience-store chains. He comes to Mark VII from Pella Corp., where he was responsible for business development in the Denver area.

"I'm proud to add these experienced sales professionals to the Mark VII team," said Steve Jeffs, vice president of sales at Mark VII. "With other car-wash manufacturers tightening their belts and blaming the economy, we believe it's a perfect time to add feet on the street and grab market share."

Based in Arvada, Colo., Mark VII is a wholly owned subsidiary of WashTec AG of Germany,a leading supplier of innovative solutions for the car-wash business worldwide. The combined companies have a global installed base of more than 30,000 units and sell a complete line of touch-free and friction rollover, self-serve, truck and tunnel carwash systems, as well as ancillary products and services.
