NACS Seeks Member Input for C-Store Insurance Marketplace

Working with brokers to develop program for convenience industry

ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Insurance and risk management policies can be some of the costliest investments a business makes. To better meet the needs of its members, the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) is working with insurance brokers with the goal of potentially adding a new benefit that offers savings on risk management and insurance policies, using only top-rated carriers.

In order to build this program specifically for convenience store firms, the association is asking NACS retail members for their input to ensure that this program is constructed to bring tangible improvements in quality of coverage as well as cost savings.

"It is a marketplace built for c-stores, by engaged c-store specialists," NACS said in announcing the program on its website.

All participating companies will receive a free, fully confidential, cost-benefit analysis of their current policies. Participating members need to supply NACS's consulting broker with copies of their current policies. Click here for more information about this "no obligation" pilot program.

NACS has also produced a webinar that fully describes the program.

At the conclusion of the "pilot period," NACS will use member input to ascertain the chosen vendor's expertise in risk management and potential value to real companies.

Alexandria, Va.-based NACS is the international association for convenience and fuel retailing. It has 2,100 retail and 1,600 supplier member companies, which do business in nearly 50 countries.
