FDA "Regs 101" Retailer Education Initiative

The FDA's Center for Tobacco Products is developing a Regulatory Education Initiative, called "Regs 101." This initiative is designed to assess and develop educational and informational materials on the CTP's tobacco regulatory efforts in order to identify and meet the needs of stakeholders, including retailers, who are or may be impacted by CTP's implementation of the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act.

This initiative will focus on increasing stakeholders' knowledge about FDA/CTP's regulatory procedures and processes, such as commenting on proposed regulations and draft guidance documents, as well as other avenues for interacting and engaging with CTP staff on a wide variety of issues. The FDA will be seeking retailer input on how the CTP can best provide this information, the types of educational resources that would be most helpful, and the kinds of learning formats that would be most effective.
