SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Maverik convenience stores will now sell The Alkaline Water Co.’s Alkaline88 bottled water products.

  • Maverik is No. 22 in CSP’s 2021 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by number of company-owned retail outlets.

The Salt Lake City, Utah-based retailer has 370 stores across Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

“We’re pleased to announce another major win in the convenience-store channel,” said Ricky Wright, president and CEO of The Alkaline Water Co., Scottsdale, Ariz. “Maverik’s footprint is ideal for Alkaline88 to further increase our market share in some of our strongest Southwest states, while also expanding into key target states in the Northwest.”

Maverik will carry Alkaline88’s flagship 1-gallon bottles, Wright said.

Alkaline88 is made with an 8.8pH balance and two ingredients: purified water and pink Himalayan rock salt. The brand was developed with a smooth taste that encourages consumers to drink more and fully hydrate, the company said.
