Molson Coors is rolling out Happy Thursday, a line of spiked, fruity, bubble-free refreshers in four flavors.

The beverages are “inspired by 21- to 26-year-old consumers,” the Chicago-based company said. “Driven by their love for flavorful, easy-drinking refreshers, Happy Thursday is poised to disrupt the flavored alcoholic beverage category as a spiked refresher that is 4.4% alcohol by volume and bubble-free.”

The flavors, which will arrive in convenience stores nationwide in March, are:

  • Mango Passionfruit: Bright and juicy mango with a refreshing twist of passionfruit and a pop of sweetness
  • Black Cherry: Nostalgic black cherry that is the perfect balance of sweet and tart
  • Strawberry: Fresh, ripe, juicy strawberry that is both sweet and tart with a clean finish
  • Pineapple Starfruit: Fresh, ripe pineapple with tropical notes for that perfectly balanced sip

“The Molson Coors innovation strategy is all about focusing on fewer, bigger and bolder bets that push boundaries and put us on the forefront of upcoming trends,” said Jamie Wideman, vice president of innovation at Molson Coors. “One of those big, bold bets is Happy Thursday.”

Wideman said the 21- to 26-year-old age group says it doesn’t want carbonation.

“So, we’ve taken everything that the newest legal-drinking-age consumers love—smooth, flavorful, bubble-free refreshers—and made them spiked, putting us at the forefront of a whole new category of alcoholic beverages.”
