NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. —Performance energy beverage Adrenaline Shoc (A-Shoc) rolled out in January to select markets and will be available in April nationwide.

A-Shoc comes in 16-ounce cans for a suggested retail price of $2.99. Its flavors include Shoc Wave, Acai Berry, Peach Mango, Frozen Ice, Sour Candy, Fruit Punch, Watermelon and Cotton Candy.

The Newport Beach, Calif.-based company is marketing the product as one that delivers superior ingredients to help consumers reach their fitness and lifestyle peaks. The sugarless drink has 300 milligrams of naturally derived caffeine, ocean minerals, nine essential amino acids and branched-chain amino acids. It is made with no artificial flavors and chemical preservatives.

Lance Collins, the man behind brands such as Fuze, NOS Energy, Core and the defunct Outlaw Beverages, and former Monster Energy VP Scot De Lorme worked with Keurig Dr Pepper to launch A-Shoc.

Energy drinks have grown significantly in the last year. Convenience-store sales were up 9.5% in the 52 weeks ending Dec. 29, and unit sales were up 6.6%, according to Chicago-based market research firm IRI.
