AUSTIN, Texas -- The Xyience brand, which produces zero-calorie, zero-sugar energy drinks made with all-natural flavors and colors, has rolled out two new flavors: Wild Grape and Fuji Apple. These are Xyience’s first new flavors since it was acquired by Austin, Texas-based Big Red Inc. in 2014.
“Xyience fans have been very vocal on social media asking for new flavors,” said Thomas Oh, senior vice president of marketing for Big Red. “We are excited to add two more great tasting, zero-calorie, zero-sugar flavors to our line.”
Grape is one of the leading and fastest-growing flavors in the zero-calorie energy-drink segment, according to IRI.
Xyience Wild Grape is well-poised to capitalize on this recent zero-calorie flavor trend, the brand said.
Xyience Fuji Apple’s crisp and natural apple flavor gives Xyience the opportunity to pioneer a unique flavor in the market, it said.
The new flavors are available nationwide with a suggested retail price of $1.99 to $2.29 per 16-ounce can.
Austin, Texas-based Big Red is a North American beverage company with a history dating back to 1937. Along with Big Red soda and Xyience, it also markets beverage brands such as Big Blue, Big Peach, Big Pineapple, Hydrive and NuGrape.
