Cumberland Farms Teams Up With Boston Celtics

Retailer also helping hometown teens practice for SATs
BOSTON -- Cumberland Farms has became the Official Convenience Store and partner of the Boston Celtics. With this exclusive team sponsorship, customers and fans will soon see green at Cumberland Farms stores across New England, with the Celtics logo appearing on drink cups and other items at the retailer. Fans attending games at TD Garden will see new Cumberland Farms courtside, as well as Cumberland Farms announcements and promotions on the Jumbotron.

"We are excited to partner with the Celtics. Our customers will enjoy collecting branded team cups every time they reach [image-nocss] for a Chill Zone. Our New England family roots make the brands a natural fit," said Cumberland Farms president Ari Haseotes.

Cumberland Farms employees will enjoy the relationship, too. The company plans to share game tickets, in-game fan experiences, and other benefits of the sponsorship with employees.

And to mark the grand opening of the newest remodeled convenience store in its hometown of Framingham, Mass., Cumberland Farms has kicked off a month long fundraiser to benefit Framingham High School students.

For the next month, Cumberland Farms will donate 20 cents from every Chill Zone beverage and cup of coffee sold at that Framingham store. All proceeds will directly support the school's PSAT Preparation program, which provides every Framingham High sophomore and junior with an SAT practice test.

"We do what we can to help our busy students excel and reach their full potential. Administering the PSAT exam to sophomores and juniors helps them prepare for the SATs that are so critical for college applications," said FHS principal Mike Welch. "We are grateful to Cumberland Farms for this generous donation and thank them for their support."

Cumberland Farms, which has its corporate offices in Framingham, hopes to raise at least $1,000 for the program.

"This fundraiser is our way of saying thank you to the people of our home town, and help local students prepare for college," said Ari Haseotes, president of Cumberland Farms Retail Division. "It is our pleasure to give back, and help keep kids' minds strong."

Cumberland Farms employees and Framingham High School students and staff held a kickoff fundraiser celebration on October 12.

The retailer operates network of convenience stores across 11 states.
